Farkle is a dice game that is played with a set of 6 dice and paper for scoring. The counting is easy, and it can be taught in just a few minutes. It also contains a good deal of strategy.
Line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which our ladies dance in one or more lines or rows. We dance to country, pop, and classics!
We play call for your partner pitch. There are no set teams; instead, the player who wins the bid calls for a specific card, and the player who has it becomes their partner until the next bid. The “called” card is the first played, and sets the trump. Points are kept individually, though they are earned as a team. 5 hands are played and the winners move to another table.
The object of this game is for a player to play all the dominoes from his/her hand onto one or more chains, starting from a central station.
Come and enjoy free bingo games. Prizes are awarded for bingos. The final game is a blackout game with a prize of $10.00.
There are six rounds, progressing in order from one to six, where the number of round serves as the target for that round’s rolls. Within a round, players alternate turns rolling three dice, aiming to obtain the target number. Players gain one point for each die matching the target. If the player get’s three-of-a-kind of the target number (a Bunco), they get 21 points. The round stops when a player at a head table obtains 21 points. Whoever wins the most rounds is the overall winner.
The best breakfast in town! We serve homemade biscuits, gravy and scrambled eggs. Coffee, tea, orange juice, and hot chocolate are also served. A $4.00 donation is requested. This is one of the two fundraisers we hold every month. The proceeds go to keep our Augusta Senior Center operating and serving Augusta’s seniors.
This is the second of our two monthly fundraisers. The menu changes month to month. Some of our past meals have been beef & noodles, spaghetti, ham & beans and stew. We also host a BBQ with hamburgers and hot dogs. Dessert is homemade pies and cakes prepared by our wonderful volunteers. A $5.00 donation to the Senior Center is encouraged.
Join us for live music and dancing! We have a talented group of musicians that come and play country/western music on Wednesday evenings. Dancing is encouraged! It’s a great evening of music. Bring a snack, dessert, or finger food to share.
